Mediation and Conflict Management (OCN Accredited Mediator)

Conflict between individuals and within teams can severely affect morale and productivity in an organisation.  Mediation seeks to solve conflicts before they get to the formal and litigous stage. Mediation is an informal, voluntary, and confidential process that addresses the conflict between people and resolves it. Usually mediation is between two individuals who have been unable to resolve their conflicts independently.  However conflict within a team is also something I address when more members of a team are involved.

How it Works

The mediation is conducted in the workplace, or in my consulting rooms if preferred (Holborn, Central London).

The mediator who is independent and impartial, meets with each party for an hour and then conducts a joint meeting that may last between 1 and 3 hours typically.  Then there is telephone follow-up to offer support and ensure the improvement is maintained.

Employee Counselling

Short term focused counselling, for both workplace and personal issues. I have many years experience working within organisations offering counselling, support, and stress management.

Bespoke training

These programmes include one to one, or group interventions.

Topics include

Building Resilience - skills to combat stressors, coping strategies, lifestyle changes, personality type, and thinking patterns.

Facilitation Skills for Managers - skills that will equip you for handling difficult conversations and resolving conflicts


Workplace Stress Reduction for Managers- research based strategies to reduce stressors in the workplace. In line with the Health and Safety Executive's directives on managing workplace stress. The emphasis is on prevention of stress on an organisational level, as well as mediating individual responses to stress. Workshops can be tailored to address the specific stressors in your organisation.

Burnout - a consequence of prolonged stress, burnout can be destructive to the individual and the organisation. It is a state of disengagement that leads to lack of motivation, cynicism and bitterness that is destructive to the individual and the organisation.

Assertiveness Training -  helps to develop communication that is direct, honest and respectful.  Skills are taught that will make it easier to communicate directly and resolve differences.
